Who, what, why, when, where...

Netherwood Studios was started by photographer Daniel Moncur-Sime as a vehicle to sell his photographic and design skills in summer 2003. It has since become an association of freelance professionals who desire only to make heads turn with their work! With offices and studios based in a wonderful Georgian country house in Herefordshire, West Midlands, we have clients accross the country and will work out on-location or in a studio environment.

Daniel Moncur-Sime specialises in fashion, beauty and lifestyle photography, and has full understanding of digital special effects and computer technologies. He works closely with clients and always produces a photo with a wow!

Photography: fashion, lifestyle, editorial and press, digital and special effects, nature and landscape

Graphic design: advertising and promotion, marketing communications, brochures, flyers, books and exhibition displays

And additionally we offer PR and marketing strategy to clients to help them gain exposure and raise their profile

How we work...

An overview of our working process is as follows: the process starts with project discussion, to proprosal and client acceptance, to project activity, to completion and submission of work. Throughout this the client is involved at everystep of the way.

Concerning photography there are two stages: firstly the photograph taking (constructing set, costumes and makeup, lighting, poaroids, and shooting) and secondly the post-production (selection, scanning, tonal corrections, digital effects and enhancements, and making ready for print, which traditional photographers do in the darkroom, yet we use computer technology).
With these two stages, (and one cannot go without the other) there is a guarrantee of the highest level of quality with the resulting photograhy, and Daniel's work certainly speaks to confirm this.
